El Padrino in Hot Springs Village

I eat here all the time best taco around.

Tuesday is $1 tacos. The bar is well stocked. The menu offers lots of choices. Convenient to the Village with excellent staff.

Really good. Fun Sunday after church dining.

We wanted to eat here during our stay in Hot Springs. After we had been seated for about 20 min AND after the waitress brought my wife her drink, she decided to check my wife’s ID. My wife (29) was turned down for a drink because on her license her hair was a different color. My wife even showed two different employees pictures on her phone to prove it was her. They were rude about it, so we promptly left and found a different restaurant to eat at. It’s a shame because we probably would have eaten there multiple times, but due to the principle and inconvenience of the matter, we will never return.

It's basic really basic and far from the the border. Staff is really good but the food not so much. Maybe growing up in Southern California has something to do with it and eating authentic Mexican food daily. But for me once was enough. Try it for yourself I'm just an opinion.

You just gotta know what to order here not a fan of their beef but their Seafood enchiladas where amazing!

New in HSV and been trying all Mexican restaurants. With the exception of the interior being a little dark and lacks a Mexican festive atmosphere, this place is by far this is the best. Food was fresh, great flavor and large helpings. Salsa was homemade, fresh & chunky with tomato s, onions, garlic & cilantro and nice heat without burn. #1 on my places to eat and we will be back. Great job.

We went there to celebrate Mother's 91st birthday. What fun! Great food. They brought a sombrero out for her to wear and sang to her. They even brought her a dessert.

They do a very good job for an out-of-the-way place having a menu of Tex-Mex catering to the gringos, and offering authentic Mexican cooking like you find in the neighborhood eateries in México. I prefer the latter, and those items I’ve eaten are tasty and authentic. The soups are quite good, the corn tortillas soft and fragrant. The ceviche is tasty but a bit dry. Waitstaff can be hit or miss. And, for the price, you can’t beat it.

Im not sure about the other things on the menu but just the three tacos I ordered was like ordering at taco bell. Noy much meat on them at all and a few of the staff liked to stand close to where we were eating at talk about me taking the white cheese and making my own nachos with the corn chips.. Comments they made was man she real hungry said a few times and them all laughing. Will never go back here.

Pretty darn tasty! Order tacos al carbon with black beans! Definitely going back!

My first visit eating in at this restaurant,.. I've ordered and picked up at the 'drive thru' before. The fresh made guacamole was good. My meal was good to,..a lil better than the usual Mexican restaurant fare around here. I lil more expensive too, but, not bad.

Frozen margarita was GREAT!! And chips & salsa. Had chicken quesadillas. Plenty of chicken BUT it tasted boiled not grilled. Will be back for drinks, chips, & salsa. :)

One of the better Mexican restaurants in the area. The food is fresh, the portions are big and the quality of food is good. They are always friendly and happy to help, they make you feel more like friends or family than a customer. Anytime I’ve had a discrepancy they gladly and quickly corrected it.

Great cheap taco Tuesdays and stout 1.99 margaritas. They do however need the atmosphere back with karaoke!

I read the negative reviews. What were they thinking??? The FOOD is delious and I from Texas!!! Valencio gave excellent service. The Molcajete was suburb. You can't go wrong. Great combination of favor. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. What a pleasant surprise.

Not busy at mid afternoon. Fast, friendly service. Food was tasty, fresh and changes to fillings can be made.

Worst experience I’ve literally ever had in my entire life, and I was first responder to 9/11. Salsa consists of cilantro leaves and whole tomatoes. Took 20 minutes for one drink refill. Asked for more chips and salsa and was looked down on with disdain, then was brought just chips and no salsa. Another 20 minutes and I got salsa. 0/10 would recommend and I will never be back there, and will advise everyone I ever meet to do the same.

We have eaten there about a dozen times. We have only had one problem with one dish. They took care of the problem immediately and completely. They even payed for my drink. They are always polite and the restaurant is always very clean. We really enjoy eating there.

The food was great! I thought the portion sizes was more than adequate. Their staff was very friendly. Dining here was a pleasure .

Left Alaska to be with my lady in Texas. Moved to NY. We went to go dig quartz and stopped here. This place is awesome. We are thinking about next time we come through here we'll be back:-)) Best Mexican food I've had and I've had some decent stuff:-))

I called to place a order for 8 people he offered me some rancheros. I then asked because this virus going in I know it has hurt buisness but i asked if he would put a few tortillas in and he told me no he was gonna charge me extra even though I'm driving from 45 mins away. The only thi g good there is the dine I service.

Loved each and every bit of this restaurant. We were visiting this place. Found this. Food was awesome, server was super nice, and very very reasonable price actually cheap. If we visit again this is must in list.

To start, the salsa is an embarrassment as it is way to chunky. Sometimes near whole tomatoes would clog the tiny vessel it came in. The building was unpleasantly odorous, and the servers seemed to forget about us several times. The food was prompt and pretty tasty and the only reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1. I would skip this one unless your getting take out.

Was wonderful taste in. Clean, our waiter was nice, friendly, and on the ball with our ice tea refills and salsa refills. Enjoyed it very much and will be goin back...

I love this place, great food. We came here after 10 years in L A so it is great to find great Mexican food here The ceviche is so good, best I have had in Arkansas. We also had seafood nachos, we loved them also. We have also had the fajitas a few times, they are great also. The service had been good every time.

This place has good Mexican food, but it is hard to spot from the road. The exterior lighting is dim and their signage is easily missed from the road. I drove past it a couple of times without even noticing it.

For Arkansas Mexican it was good, and close to where we were staying.

This place used to be the place to go for great service and great food. Today 7/24/2019 will be the last time I come here. Sometime in the last couple years something happened. The servers ignore you and are busy doing what they want. The waitress today could not get the order right as she was taking it. After telling her 3 times what we wanted it still came out wrong.All we ordered was 3 tacos 2 hard 1 soft.(CONFUSING HUH?) We didn't say anything because we didn't want to wait any longer. She didn't know how to work the tablet to take our order. I will not tell anyone that I like to go there. Very disappointed as this WAS a good place. The parking lot used to always be full and look at it today. Wish it was a Taco Bell like it used to be. They are better than this place.

I like this place.. Wait staff friendly and efficient. Food very good especially the taco salad and their soups. Iced tea is best in the surrounding area.

Great Mexican food and great service. My server Roberto was attentive. I’ve had the Mocajete El Padrino and quesadillas with fajita chicken and they both were GREAT.

Love the flautas and chips and salsa. This is my go to Mexican food spot for Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village.

We were looking for a early birdMeal. They had happy hour drinksHad nice quiet play to eat. They have a large menu. My entree was a little too much food. I eat less as I age.

No WOW factor. Service was slow. However, good salsa and generous portions.
